GURGAON: Whether you are a garment trader, a student of fashion or a bride-to-be wishing to spruce up your trousseau, the Source zOne textile show being held at the Apparel House in Gurgaon is the place to be.
The three-day fair, which was inaugurated on Monday, is the largest apparel and accessory show the city has ever hosted. And with over 125 exhibitors displaying their products under one roof at the fair, buyers have been spoilt for choice.
After having scanned through the lanes and by-lanes of Chandni Chowk for zari borders, 24-year-old Swati Desai found what she was looking for at Source zOne.
Desai, who is all set to tie the knot next month, was visibly delighted.
I wanted to wear my mothers wedding saree for my big day. But the zari had become quite dull. I checked out many places to find the border that would go with the saree, but finally managed to find it at the 7one Enterprises stall at the fair, she said.
The stall, which has showcased embroidered laces, zari borders and accessories made in Surat, is one of the many that are catching the fancy of buyers.
At the Banaras Buttons & Beads stall, too, fashion enthusiasts have a lot to choose from. This stall has beads to match every dress in my wardrobe. Im going to pick up a lot of necklaces and loose beads, and
convert them into fashion accessories, chirped Aastha Mahajan, a college student.
Akash Gupta, director of Banaras Buttons & Beads, said, Beads are the latest fashion statement. Use it as accessories or embellishments, the fashion world today is experimenting with them in more ways than one.
Those who are fascinated by lace and satin have a plethora of options to choose from. From lace necklines to crochet bustiers, the collection of frill thrills at Source zOne. Be it the conventional lacy pattern or something jazzy, name it and stalls like Max City, Shakti Lace and Modern Lace House will have it for you.
Rajesh Girotra, director of Max City Limited, said, While we have everything related to garments in our stock, our lace products and buttons are particularly attracting a lot of buyers. Max City has imported all the products in its stock from China.
At the fair, Coimbatore-based KG Denim has launched its latest range of Cotton Sorona and Poly Sorona denims made with the use of a renewably sourced polymer, DuPont Sorone R. These denim fabrics provide a relaxed fit, which stretches for comfortable leisure wear.
And with winter already setting in, buyers at Source zOne have the option to buy warm denims too. Showcased at the Taiwan pavilion at the fair, warm denims are proving to be a hit among the youth.
Other attractions at the Taiwan pavilion include fishnet gloves and stockings, socks, fabric with varied forms of foil printing and warp knits.
So if you want to make a style statement, you know where to head to this season.
